Braga is the oldest Portuguese cities and one of the oldest Christian cities of the world based on time of the Romans as Augusta Bracara, has more than 2000 years of history as a city. Guimarães is a city located in the Portuguese district of Braga, region and subregion of North Ave (one of the sub-most industrialized country), with a population of 52 182 inhabitants. The municipality is limited to the north by the municipality of Póvoa de Lanhoso, east by Fafe, south of Felgueiras, Vizela and Santo Tirso, west of Vila Nova de Famalicao and northwest by Braga.
