Obidos

Óbidos is a town in the Portuguese district of Leiria, Centro region and subregion of the western part of the West Region of Tourism, about 3 100 inhabitants. It is the seat of a municipality limited to northeast and east by the municipality of Caldas da Rainha, by the south Bombarral the Lourinhã the southwest, west and northwest by Peniche has coast on the Atlantic Ocean. On 16 February 2007, the castle of the city received the diploma of a candidate of the seven wonders of Portugal.
