Guimarães

Guimarães is a city located in the Portuguese district of Braga, region and subregion of North Ave (one of the sub-most industrialized country), with a population of 52 182 inhabitants. The municipality is limited to the north by the municipality of Póvoa de Lanhoso, east by Fafe, south of Felgueiras, Vizela and Santo Tirso, west of Vila Nova de Famalicao and northwest by Braga. It is one of the most important historical cities of the country, with more than a millennium since its formation, its historic center considered Cultural Heritage of Humanity, making it definitely one of the major tourist centers of the region. Its streets and monuments breathe history and delight those who visit.
